I was just looking through some photos of a backpacking trip my husband and I did a while back and just had to share some of these photos. We went to Durango and took the train that goes to Silverton, only we got off half way and backpacked for 3 days. 
We did some bushwacking:
We met some new people (Jerry & Fran):
And did a little relaxing:
And then it was time to go home:

Before I read your words I was thinking "that looks familiar" - I've been there! Years ago my husband and I took the same train. Cool!
