I have a friend. Her name is Danyelle and she is 4 years old. I have taught her in the 3 year old Sunday school class at our church for several months. Now that she is 4, she is moving on. Every week she came to class, the first thing she did was find a race car and horse to play with. This last week, she came to class and told me she is 4 now, and she wants a white pony and a "Herbie" car for her birthday. She is a treasure and God has knit our hearts together in a very special way.
A couple of years ago, I crocheted this blanket......
and now I know why. I made it for my very special friend for her 4th birthday!
Happy Birthday Danyelle!

Danyelle loves her Miss Penny blanket. So soft and beautiful and will always be a treasured reminder of friends who change our lives. Before Miss Penny, Danyelle would not wear dresses, wear her hair any way other than straight in her face or play with baby dolls. Now she wants lots of dresses, only the really fru-fru kind, she wears an occasional ponytail holder, and she dug out the box of babydolls from storage (mom kept them just in case :)!) - the power of positive friendship and people who love us just as we are! Thank you Miss Penny! Danyelle's Mom
