Dear Sarah,
I hope this letter finds you and your family well and ready for the "most wonderful time of the year"! Lenny and I are doing well, although I've been battling with a cough this week (and I am about to win the battle). So imagine my surprise when I checked the mailbox yesterday to find a secret Christmas present from you in the form of this:
which I promptly put on and left on for the rest of the day since the cough I have had has left my throat in need of a little cozying.
As I was wearing it, I thought of a dozen different outfits and jackets that I will be wearing it with and also concluded that if I were to loose about 10 pounds, maybe that double chin would be a portion of the lost part. Anyway, I am in love with the scarflette, it is perfect for me, even my husband says so!
After I was done playing with and photographing the scarflette, my mind quickly turned back to the rest of the contents of the package.
Sarah, you are just amazing! I love the cards you sent as well! You are definitely one of the most creative, talented and giving women I know and I thank God for you Sarah! You have brightened my day in so many ways since we first "met" a year and a half ago (do you remember? you were the one person who commented on my blog at that point and were always so encouraging!) Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!
Are you and your children done with school for a couple of weeks? Will you be doing any traveling to see your mom on the coast? Please remember to make her a cozy for her ketchup container this year (I know how she loves those darn cozies for EVERYTHING!) and make sure you send my regards to her.
Lenny and I are still deciding what we will do with the time we have from now until after the new year. We had a road trip all planned out and then this Arctic front has been hanging around for the last week or two so we may have to change up our plans.
Well Sarah, it's time for me to get in a quick shower before I head out to tackle the world so I will end this letter for now. I truly hope to meet you some day face to face and crochet and knit together while we have tea and cookies. I've said this before but I know we would have so much fun as neighbors (while driving our husbands insane).
Sincerely with love,
Penny

I love the scarf! It looks great on you, too. Do you think she'd share what the pattern is?

What a sweet friend! I love the scarf too! Did she make that with the sugar n' cream yarn that you sent her?
Hope you are staying warm!

It's gorgeous. I've been looking for that pattern madly as I lost it...I've left a comment for Sarah about it, hope she doesn't mind...?
Have a lovely Christmas
