I've always been a fiend when it comes to cookbooks. I can sit and read them like a novel while sipping tea or a latte. The internet has opened a whole new world to me when it comes to recipes though. Who needs cookbooks these days when we have allrecipes.com, myrecipes.com, gourmet.com, marthastewart.com, not to mention all the wonderful food blogs.
Anyway, the point of all this is to share with you two recipes I tried off the internet recently and love. First up, these banana peanut butter oatmeal muffins are fabulous!

I love that they are packed with oats and require only 2 Tablespoons of oil in the recipe. I didn't bake mine to be as brown as the ones in the picture and they turned out so nice and moist. They have made a terrific breakfast for the last 5 days.
Next up, we have these chinese green onion pancakes from La Fuji Mama. They were a perfect savory lunch and so easy!

I love the internet!!
And now for the thank-you. I want to thank Marjorie at Cowgirl Goods Merchantile for sending me a little present in the mail.
some herbal healing balm!
It smells and feels so soothing and contains lavendar and comfrey. For those of you that sew, you know how hard handling fabrics can be on your hands. I put some of this on my cuticles and the dryness went far, far away. I can tell this is going to be an essential in my sewing room from now on! Thanks a bunch Marjorie!
