for the busy bees bee.
Things I learned while making this block:
*being original comes at a price, namely the amount time involved and the number of times a seamripper is used.
*equilateral triangles would be easier to work with than the offset triangles I used in this block.
*to play around with the pieces of a block before starting to sew them together, there may be a better combination that will take the design from good to fantastic.
*perfection is overrated.
I hope you all have a chance to get creative today!

I would call it pretty. And yes, perfection is overrated!

I love it! It's like a wonky Star of David.

Beautiful! I have zero creativity when it comes to naming things, so I'm no help there. I do, however, love imperfections in handmade items!

Shifty Hexagons? There are a few leaning hexes in there but you see triangles so obviously they are very sneaky hexagons.
Unbelievably gorgeous too!

Oh, wow! That is a fantastic block! The design is amazing and very original looking. Kind of reminds me of a dodecahedron.

those are good lessons to learn, and then do the original thing anyway. i think it looks great.

that is quite interesting...I like it! Talk about creative license, totally fun. I must try it myself, since I certainly have many pieces to play with. Thanks!

This is really cool how the triangles overlap with the little and bigger ones! Cool idea!
