The members of the Fort Collins MQG have started a tradition. At each meeting, someone brings scrap packs for the other members (so far, we are in the single digits) and before our next meeting, we're supposed to make something with the scraps.
I started this tradition at our first meeting and gave everyone some pretty, and some not so pretty scraps. At our last meeting, Jane followed my lead. I wanted to make something that was pretty, even though I didn't really appreciate some of the fabrics, and this is what I came up with (the blue FMF was my addition).
Our next MQG meeting is tomorrow, so if you're in the Denver area, we'd love to see you there! The info is here!

The fabric in the block looks vaguely familar...esp. the iguanas...what great taste in fabric this Jane must have ;-) The best part of the block is the FMF in the center. Great job Penny...love it! Please post pics on the Ning site if anyone else brings a block.

I don't think it's possible to make an un-pretty dresden. :o)

Great job with some not so great fabrics. Your choice for the center was icing for sure. I really like what you did with it.

Very pretty. I have a huge stack (50+) of Dresden blocks from the 1930's.. that seem to be have sewn together incorrectly. Can't figure out how to applique or turn the edges.
