what time is it?

It's doll quilt swap time!

Who out there is participating in DQS9?  Me too!  The first time I signed up, I really didn't know what to expect, if I would like it or not.

What I'm finding out though, is that I absolutely love participating!  It has given me a chance to be creative on a new level and try things I might not otherwise try.

So here's my quilt so far.  It's called "walking the hedgie".  And that's triangle lady there.  I have a few ideas up my sleeve for finishing it off.  I hope it turns out as good as it looks in my head!

a few lovelies

Lately, I have been falling hard for fabrics with text on them.  I'm just loving the variety of text on this print.  I couldn't buy it fast enough!

And would you look at these little life preservers?  So cute! 

Both these prints can be found in the sale section at the fat quarter shop!

servin' it up.

This is what the last week served up for me.  On the banks of the Main Salmon River. 

This was the view from our pop-up and where we spent our mornings and evenings:

A week of camping, kayaking the Salmon, exploring lake Stanley

visiting the hot springs, finishing a book, doing a little hand quilting,

and cooking outdoors. 

And last night, I felt inspired to make some new sleeping shorts (the fabric is Journeys by Kathy Davis in case you were wondering?)

How have your last couple of weeks been?

full swing

Summer is definitely in full swing here! 

Choosing how to spend my time gets increasingly hard since the river is coming down, L-man wants to camp, and I have to have my daily sewing/crochet/craft time. 

So off I go, to take a blog break for a few weeks. 

I will, however, be doing a guest post over at Stash Manicure this Thursday the 8th, so pop on over to check it out then!
