(asterisk block for Amy. Did I ever tell you that I designed this block with her in mind? She had asked for pinwheels for her month in the "a notion or two" bee, and so I sat down and drew this up, not thinking that I would be able to use it for her blocks since she was following Rachel's pinwheel sampler pattern. I was giddy when she emailed me and said that I could do whatever pattern I wished instead of following a specific pattern. I really love that!)
Something has come over me this last week.
I've been putting away those piles of fabrics that were pulled for projects that have long since been completed.
I cleaned off my serger table which had piles of fabric around it and now I can use my serger again.
I've almost completely finished my overdue blocks from bees in 2010 (only one left!) and have two January 2011 blocks to complete and I'm caught up.
And today, I finally sewed up this baby quilt top from blocks that I finished last fall. I used a charm pack of the city weekends line and did some improv curved piecing.

I'll be making a baby quilt out of this, and backing it with chenille. At least that's the plan for now!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone, and make sure to check back on Monday. Wendy from the fabric quarter shop sent a surprise valentines gift for one of you to win!

Oooh jinx - I had a tidy up today in the sewing room too - I started pulling greens and whites for Lucinda's spring block and just couldn't stand the mess any more and had to deal with it. I'll be back Monday for the giveaway too - yay.

cute block penny! good for you for tidying up! I had done that but now the room is a disaster again. That's what happens when you pull out your fabric to audition it for a quilt. lol

Must have been a big day for cleaning up - I did my room too! Isn't it wonderful to sit down in a (at least momentarily) clean workroom? Of course, it doesn't last, but it's nice to see it neat occasionally!
