Firstly, I must thank Robyn of Coffee & Cotton for all the help she has given me through oodles of emails. Also, thank-you to Julia for planting the seed to have a progress bar at all! Between Robyn and I, we have come up with the official yoyo along button and progress bar combo you can see here:
Yoyos completed
Goal: 1008
Current: 166
If you'd like to add the button and progress bar to your blog, I'll give you the code for it in just a sec. First though, you'll want to know a couple of things.
- the progress bar % has to be updated manually. For example, if you have 28 yoyo's done, you'll enter 28 into the code where I have 166, and then you'll need to figure your percentage and enter that as well. 28/1008=2.7%, so you'll enter 2.7 where I have 16.5 (in two places) in the code. You'll need to do this manually each time you want to update the number of yoyos you have done.
- if you are making a different # of yoyos than I am, you'll need to change out the 1008 in the code to whatever # you ARE making.
Alrighty, now for the code:

<br/><br/>
<b><font color="#51B1CF"> Yoyos completed</font></b><br>
Goal: 1008 <br>
Current: 166<br>
<div style="width:160px;height:15px;background:#51B1CF;border:solid 1px #555;">
<div align="left"><div style="height:17px;background:#ff7f00;color:white;width:16.5%;"><b>16.5%</b>
</div>
</div>
</div>

Happy Friday everyone!

I'm super bummed that I don't have a blog, so I won't be able to use the button and progress bar, but I will make up a white board in my sewing room to keep track of my progress :) It is also nice to see the buttons and progress bars and see how far along other people are.

you are already off to a great start. I love the progress bar and the opportunity to cheer you on.

85 yo-yo's so colorful in the box, 85 yo-yo's so colorful, stitch one up, tie it off, 87 yo-yo-s so colorful in the box. Need a cuter box.
Okay, I'm a little behind. You actually calculated how many a day - that's freaky. That's like something I would normally do, but hadn't... yet.
Thought I could recruit Danyelle and Sydney to help. Sydney's been drawing like crazy, so No. But Danyelle ... Danyelle likes making ALL the sizes, keeps it interesting, so it's 2 for Danyelle's stash, 1 for Mom's, 4 for Danyelle, 1 for Mom, 2 for Danyelle, 3 for Danyelle, 1 for Danyelle, oops - 1 for Mom... you get the picture?
Road trip to Boise this week should net some progress. Gonna stack and whack some squares instead of trying to cut individual circles. Tried it out this weekend: stack of squares, put one in the yoyo maker, then just trimmed off the little triangle corners. Get this ... the hardest part for me, the starter knot and the ending knot. I haven't been very adept at getting them where I want. Probably need to see if there's a youtube on making a knot - sounds ridiculous I'm sure, but I don't think I've ever actually seen someone make a knot! :)
Yeehaw! You gotta love me!

Well, 85 plus 1 makes 86. That's where I am, 86.

Okay I'm in, even if I'm starting a little late. As of this afternoon: twenty.

I am having trouble with getting the button on my blog. I tried copy and paste, but I am only getting the URL to show on my blog, not the button with the hyper link. Anyone else having this difficulty?
