This weekend, I put my head down and finished it.
Complete with hand stitching and all:
I used cotton crochet thread and a big 'ole needle to do it.
For the backing, I thought this circus fabric was apropos. Get it? The circus... and tumbling...
I hope you all had a fab weekend!
~Penny

A job well done, Penny! I bet it was nice to know that once you had finished stitching, there was no binding to do. :-)

I absolutley love this quilt. The design is so simple but so retro. It looks like something that would be draping over a 1960's chair. LOVE IT! You have once again inspired me to make another quilt. I however, don't have the patience to hand quilt it. I admire you for your hand quilting awesomeness.

This is such a fun and vibrant quilt. Love those edges! Can you tell me what thickness of cotton you used for the hand quilting?

Very appropriate! My circus daughter spends half her life tumbling...I shall have to find some of that fabric! Your quilt is so sweet.

Okay I am going to be chuckling to myself ALL NIGHT about your tumbling and circus combo. ALL night. I drove from C.Springs to Junction today and the whole time I was going through the mountains I thought: "Man, I need to go camping." which always lead to "SewTakeaHike goes camping...which lead to I wonder where she hikes...does she back pack? and then man, I need to go camping. So yes, I thought of you for a good 4/5 hours. I hope that's not creepy.

Love the scrappy tumbler...
BUT...I really came over to ask about the paper pieced asterisk pattern.. I came over via Jackie's blog (Canton Village Quiltworks)and the Two's Company Bee page...
Do you sell the asterisk pattern? If so I can't find it on your Etsy shop...
Was it a tute? I can't find it at all...please help me...I love that block..

Fun and funky; fabric fits the design beautifully! I am curious, was it difficult? The pattern looks easy, but looks can be deceiving.
Beautiful job!
