Goodness gracious am I having a ball with the travelling quilts bee.
For April, I added to Monica's quilt start and I had such a blast thinking of ideas. Her quilt "seed" started with the house block (and you can't see the house in the photo) and the embroidery that you see.
Then Dan added some fantastic wandering geese he drafted up (sorry I didn't get that in the photo either, but you can visit the group photo pool to see his awesome addition!)
And now my addition?
A play on Monica's heartfelt and sentimental embroidery.
You all remember that saying on t-shirts back in the 80's or so that said, "my (family member) went to (California, Hawaii, Mexico, etc) and all I got was this stupid t-shirt!"
Remember?
Well Monica's quilt came all the way to Colorado and all she's getting is a (few pair of panties and) a stupid t-shirt!
Enjoy your Thursday everyone!
~Penny
p.s I'm going to close the name the Juki contest tomorrow, so if you've waited to enter, don't wait any longer!
Love it! That must have been lots of fun to make. I had one of those "stupid" t-shirt that my grandmother brought back from Hawaii. I also got a coconut purse too with a face painted on it. I thought that was the greatest thing as a kid.
